ARCHIE COMICS OWNER SEEMS VEXED BY SEXY PHOTOS OF 'SABRINA' ACTRESS

A Web site has an interesting take on the talk about Sabrina, The Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart's being asked to leave the show by Archie Comics Publications' Michael Silberkleit because of Hart's sexy posing (but no nudity) and frank talk in two male-skewed magazines. Silberkleit says that image doesn't jibe with the wholesome appeal of the comic book character, which Archie Comics owns. But Gist TV points out that Archie characters Betty and Veronica always traipsed around in skimpy bikinis, the better to knock the socks off Archie and Reggie. (Sabrina also wore some pretty skin-resistant swimwear.) How wholesome is that?
