'SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH' RENEWED FOR 2 YEARS BY ABC
ABC has announced an early and unusual two-year renewal for the Friday night comedy Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. That will keep the show on the air through the 1999-2000 season at least. Sabrina revolves around a 16-year-old witch played by Melissa Joan Hart (who is already in her 20s). Since debuting last season, Sabrina has become a consistent ratings achiever and a key to the network's Friday night family-oriented lineup. ABC also ordered a full-season pickup of The Practice for the 1998-99 season.
