UPN has tapped Jim Henson Prods. for a sitcom pilot about a widowed college basketball coach, and the WB network has ordered a pilot presentation for a drama based on a CD-ROM.

Henson's "Time-Out" is executive produced by Russell Marcus ("Married With Children") and focuses on a coach raising four attractive, out-of-control teenage daughters.

"Fox Hunt" is a live-action drama from Warner Bros. TV that's based on a CD-ROM of the same name.

In casting news for fall pilots, Dan Hedeya ("The First Wives Club") has joined the cast of Rob Lowe starrer "Gilroys" for NBC. Hedeya plays Lowe's father _ a Chicago bar owner _ in the Paramount Network TV comedy from Mort Nathan, Barry Fanaro and Andy Cadiff.

Sherilyn Fenn, Jon Tenney and Stephanie Miller will join Melissa Joan Hart and Joely Fisher as guest stars on "Love, American Style" for ABC. The Paramount Network TV drama pilot from Barry Kemp and Robin Schiff _ which, like its predecessor, will feature guest stars _ also will star Winnie Holzman, the creator of "My So-Called Life."
