Lee Holmes has been added to the cast of John Schultz' "Next to You," now filming in Salt Lake City. Holmes plays a politically active college student who heads an animal liberation group in the teen comedy starring Melissa Joan Hart (TV's "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch").

Holmes appeared in Schultz's "Bandwagon" and stars in the upcoming Morgan J. Freeman feature "Desert Blue" with Christina Ricci. His deal was negotiated by Julia Buchwald and Cynthia Land at Don Buchwald and Associates.

"Next To You" was written by Rob Thomas from a novel by Todd Strasser. Amy Robinson is producing the film, which will be distributed by 20th Century Fox.
